New Art, Stickers in Person, and PIRATE TIME...
Good morning!
Congratulations, it’s a week into February and I am blasting on the tin whistle. Bringing you the updates you crave, late and out of context.
You’re welcome.

Relearning the tin whistle and plan to use my regained tooting skills on stage soon...
Thanks for your patience on this update! February is already shaping up to be a busy month, including two restocks before the first week ends! Which is absolutely a wonderful problem to have. Let’s recap!
Studio Updates
I was commissioned by my coworker Ashlie to do a realistic color drawing of her and her boyfriend for his birthday!
I loved working on this one, and I am happy to report that the surprise was very well received. (Want one of your own? Let me know!)
This was done on Artagain recycled toned paper, just like the illustration of my other coworker and her daughter from last time! It has been so much fun to reconnect to these traditional dry materials through creating these pieces. Unlike the last one, this piece was colored with pencils and copic markers!
Big chomp :)
Remember the exciting new work I mentioned last month? I am happy to report that it’s coming to fruition! I’ve been working on a new (big!) painting for a new client and oh my gosh. We worked SO well together to create a concept that we’re both very excited about, and I can’t wait to share more with you! The above dragon is a small part of it, and I am so looking forward to continuing on the final piece!
The canvas is 16×20” and will be mixed media, just like New Constellation (From the Midnight Abyss).

February Two Moons Stock
February’s Two Moons updates include the long-awaited STICKER SHELF!
Don’t get me wrong, I love bringing over the framed prints (coming soon: unframed prints and postcards!) but I am just so stoked about the stickers AND the shelf they’re living in! It’s a salvaged sewing drawer from a local antique store — I’ve been looking for a display solution that felt authentic to the art and Two Moons’ curated aesthetic for so long and I am so happy to have been able to find and use this one!
Look at those gorgeous carved details!
Et Cetera

Thank u Ashlie for this absolutely insane photo of me
Still your favorite waitress! But I am alsooo about to be your favorite PIRATE. UNCLE.
Which is an uncle who is also a pirate. In case you weren’t sure.
I auditioned for my local community theatre’s production of Larceny and Old Lace and will be playing Uncle Charlie April 23 through the 25th! More details to come as we get closer, but I am SO excited to play pretend for this!
I’m envisioning a swarthy, more-than-slightly overdramatic, and fabulous treasure-digging swashbuckler. Is this maybe too much foresight for someone with no actual drama training beyond a love of it? Almost certainly. However, if they’ve ever said anything about me, it’s that I’m over prepared!
Hopefully, in future conversations, they’ll remember to include that I’m always a student and ready to learn more. Stage lights, here I come!

Captain Sabertooth, from Captain Sabertooth and the Treasure of Lama Rama (2014)
(For the record, this pirate is just from my ~vibes~ moodboard while I was deciding how to approach the audition but I absolutely LOVE the look here. I can’t wait to see what my costume will look like!)
I picked up the Bram Stoker’s Dracula Sega Genesis game “for my dad” this month and have been absolutely loving it. Check out those killer graphics!

In addition to the community theatre audition, I also did one virtual audition and applied to four different art shows! Hooray for trying!!

May the Preminger of Prosperity bring wealth and happiness!
More SOON. I’m rushing to get this one out to you, but stand for kindness, don’t be afraid to learn new things, no AI ever, and all my love!!
In sincerity but also with a fun little heel click,
Alex
